John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked Ghanaians not to repeat the mistakes of voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Speaking at a small rally at the Nsawam Adoagyiri lorry station, he encouraged people to take this chance to improve the country’s situation by voting for him and the NDC.

During the start of his 5-day tour of the Eastern Region on November 18, Mahama said many NPP supporters are unhappy with their party’s leadership and are less interested in this year’s election. He urged them to support the NDC instead, emphasizing the need for change.

“In 2016, we made the wrong choice, and we did it again in 2020. But on December 7, 2024, I believe we will fix this mistake by bringing the NDC back to power,” he said. He added that good decisions lead to progress and freedom, while poor choices result in hardship. “This December is our chance to make the right choice by voting for the NDC,” he concluded.
